Speedball Mike Bailey is finally All Elite, and now he’s speaking out about his arrival in AEW.
After months of speculation and visa-related delays, Bailey took to Twitter to express his excitement before officially stepping into an AEW ring.
“I have been blessed for my whole career with unlimited support from all over the world. I can’t thank you all enough,” Bailey wrote. He made it clear that signing with AEW is just another step in his ongoing journey, adding, “My biggest accomplishment in life has been making every year my best year yet, and I am extremely excited to keep that going in AEW! #AEWCollision ❤️”
AEW confirmed Bailey’s signing with a video package on the February 22, 2025, episode of Collision, but the process wasn’t as smooth as some expected. While Bailey wrapped up his time with TNA Wrestling in late October, his contract officially ran through the end of 2024, meaning he wasn’t a free agent until January 1. Both AEW and WWE were interested, but AEW ultimately locked him in with a multi-year deal at the start of the year.
Despite putting pen to paper, Bailey’s AEW debut was held up due to visa approval issues. Now that those problems are resolved, AEW is set to bring Bailey into the mix, and he’s ready to prove why he belongs on one of the biggest stages in professional wrestling.
Bailey’s journey to AEW hasn’t been without its challenges, but if his past success is any indication, he’s more than ready to show what he can do. Are you excited to see Speedball in an AEW ring? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
