Sonya Deville just dropped one of the wildest behind-the-scenes stories of her WWE career, revealing she almost lost her job over a single tweet.

During her appearance on her Unwrapped podcast, Deville explained how a joke she posted on social media spiraled into a serious backstage issue involving Vince McMahon himself.

She said the tweet was meant to be a sarcastic jab at Lacey Evans’ sudden push at the time, but WWE management didn’t laugh. The implication that Lacey and Vince were involved was enough to trigger an immediate backstage reaction—and Deville quickly learned she had crossed a major line.

“I almost got fired one time because I tweeted something about Vince. I don’t even remember what it was. I said something about Vince, and like, Lacey Evans, and it was insinuating that Lacey Evans and Vince had a thing. It was a joke. It was like a ha-ha joke.”

Things escalated fast. Deville was summoned straight to Vince’s office to explain herself face-to-face. And the situation became even more surreal when she realized someone else was in the room.

“I had to go into Vince’s office and apologize. Hulk Hogan was there. I said, ‘Hi, sir. I’m sorry I insinuated Lacey sucked your d*.’”*

Stories like this show how quickly a joke can turn into a career-threatening moment in wrestling, especially when it involves the boss himself.
