Some WWE Superstars may not have loved being a part of the company’s tribute to Hulk Hogan.
Two weeks ago, WWE paid tribute to Hulk Hogan with a 10-bell salute before RAW and SmackDown. The tribute saw most of the WWE roster gathered on stage to honor the late wrestling icon, but fans were quick to point out Roman Reigns’ absence. That being said, some Superstars may not have wanted to be a part of the tribute.
Billi Bhaitti revealed on Dirty Sheets’ Wrestling Informer that there were a few WWE Superstars who may have had an issue with being present for Hulk Hogan’s 10-bell salute. Those names include Becky Lynch and The New Day.
“It wasn’t a case of Roman Reigns saying I don’t wish to be out there, which was the case for the likes of Becky Lynch, Paul Heyman, The New Day, and Rhea Ripley, all of whom I think have ill feelings towards Hogan. This was overall a creative decision.”
Becky Lynch has blasted Hulk Hogan in the past, especially when “Becky Hogan” started to become a thing that fans said online. She didn’t appreciate the comparisons to Hulk Hogan at all.
The New Day have also famously been against Hulk Hogan’s return to WWE. They have spoken out on many occasions to let their opinions be heard. Obviously, Hulk Hogan, while he was loved and respected by many, was not an uncontroversial figure in the slightest.
