Skye Blue Reveals How Relationship with Kyle Fletcher Began With a Chop

Skye Blue and Kyle Fletcher are one of AEW’s most beloved couples and she has now revealed how they met in the first place.

While speaking to The Stunner, Skye Blue revealed how she and Kyle Fletcher first met and how their relationship began. Their first interaction happened during AEW Dark tapings in Orlando. She was in an elevator with Billie Starkz and Kyle, who happened to be shirtless at the time.

Fletcher had just taken a bunch of chops and, being very pale, his chest was covered in red and purple handprints. Billie jokingly looked like she was about to hit him again, but Skye stopped her, saying it would be mean. That odd and funny moment turned out to be the beginning of their story. Now they live together in their own house and laugh about how it all started with wrestling.

“Yeah, we met—I think the very first one was when we did the Dark tapings in Orlando. I was in an elevator with Billy Starks and Kyle, and Kyle was shirtless, and—uh, this is so bad—he had just gotten chopped a million times and he’s very pale. So his chest was just red and purple handprints.

And me and Billy were… and Billy just goes and she’s like, about to whack him, and I was like, ‘No, don’t do that, that’s mean.’ And that was our first interaction—and now we have a house together. But yeah, like, oh, now I can just chop you whenever I want. It’s a pro wrestling love story.”

Skye pointed out that not many relationships begin with a chop, and while she didn’t dish out any bruises early on, she has wrestled Kyle once. On that occasion, she was the one who ended up more beat up.

“Not many relationships start with like… a chop, you know? Yeah. You know, normal things. I—I didn’t chop him. I didn’t leave bruises on him that instantly. Not that quickly. Or ever. Not in that—no, I’m not that bad. I’ve only wrestled him once, and I think I was the one that was beat up that day.”

Skye Blue and Kyle Fletcher’s relationship shows that love can start in the most unexpected places, even in a wrestling elevator with bruises from a match. That’s exactly why fans love the couple and continue to support them no matter what.
