Sid Vicious’ WWE Hall of Fame induction is already hitting on a deeper level — and now his family is opening up about what the moment means behind the scenes.

After WWE confirmed that Sid Eudy will be inducted into the 2026 Legacy Class, the focus has shifted to the people closest to him. His sons, Frank and Gunnar Eudy, have now spoken out — and their reaction shows just how much this recognition matters to the family. Speaking with Bill Apter, Frank revealed that WWE first reached out to their mother before the rest of the family was brought into the conversation — a move he said made complete sense given her role.

“They reached out to our mom of all people, which makes sense. She’s the main point of contact. And they kind of let us know last week and were curious about if we would be interested in it and everything like that and what we thought about it.”

From there, the conversation quickly turned emotional, with Frank explaining that the family sees the induction as a chance for fans to celebrate Sid’s legacy — something he knows his father would have valued deeply.

“Obviously any time that the fans get to celebrate dad, we like that concept. Dad always liked to make the fans happy and put on a good show. It was what it was all about for him.”

He also pointed out just how overwhelming the reaction has been since the announcement dropped, comparing it to the support the family received after Sid’s passing.

“I think a lot of fans have wanted this to happen for a long time. I saw a lot of positive outpouring and feedback today online. I remember when dad passed, we got so many positive words sent to us through social media, people we don’t know, people we do know. And today I feel like it was even more so. Getting to see all the fans out there really get a day to feel happy for dad, it makes us happy too.”

Gunnar Eudy also shared his perspective, explaining that his involvement in wrestling isn’t about chasing a full-time career — but about honoring his father’s legacy in a meaningful way.

“The wrestling career is not so much of a career, just more of a chance to pay tribute to my father. We’re going to start off with a memorial show for him August 29. It’s going to be a benefit show where we’re going to donate all the money to charity, to the local animal shelters. We’re going to try to run some summer camps for the kids and just do some small community shows. The whole wrestling thing for me is mostly just focused on smaller independent stuff, a lot of kids, and making people happy. That’s what my goals are.”

With the Hall of Fame induction now official, the response from Sid’s family makes one thing clear — this moment isn’t just about honoring a legendary career, it’s about celebrating the impact he had far beyond the ring.
