Shotzi Blackheart isn’t wasting any time getting back in the ring after her WWE departure.

The former NXT star is officially confirmed for MLW’s Summer of the Beasts show on June 26 at NYC’s Melrose Ballroom. After a chilling promo aired during MLW Azteca Lucha over the weekend, hype began building for Shotzi’s arrival, but now it’s official—she’s set to make a splash in Major League Wrestling.

According to Fightful Select, Shotzi is expected to work multiple shows for MLW, with the promotion eager to give her a degree of creative freedom when it comes to matchups. Sources believe this fresh start could help Shotzi redefine her career after WWE opted not to renew her contract.

One match that’s already being discussed is Shotzi Blackheart vs. Shoko Nakajima. Shoko recently became the MLW World Featherweight Champion in April, and sources indicate that MLW sees this as a marquee feud worth building. Given Shotzi’s wild, unpredictable style and Shoko’s championship credentials, this could be a major draw for the promotion.

Shotzi’s move to MLW is also notable for how quickly it’s happening. Her WWE contract expired rather than being terminated, allowing her to take bookings without a standard 90-day no-compete clause. This unique situation means Shotzi can hit the ground running in MLW without any legal hang-ups.

Salina De La Renta, who has been working on revitalizing MLW’s women’s division, is reportedly keen on incorporating more international talent, including stars from TJPW and CMLL. Bringing in Shotzi aligns with this vision, as MLW continues to strengthen its roster with diverse and exciting matchups.

Shotzi recently expressed a sense of freedom after her WWE release, saying, “Honestly, I didn’t expect this, but I just feel so free and I feel like this weight is lifted off me.” Now, with a new chapter unfolding in MLW, it seems Shotzi is ready to prove herself once again.

Shotzi Blackheart’s MLW debut could be the shake-up she’s been waiting for after her WWE exit. With her sights set on the MLW women’s division and a potential showdown against Shoko Nakajima on the horizon, Shotzi’s next chapter is already off to a wild start. Stay tuned because the green-haired brawler isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
