Shotzi Blackheart is proving she doesn’t need WWE to get paid—or go hard.
Since her release last month, Blackheart has wasted no time jumping back into the independent scene, including a violent Three-Way Deathmatch at GCW: Tournament of Survival X. She took on Matt Tremont and Jimmy Lloyd in a bloody fight for the GCW Heavyweight Title, where she was busted open after a suicide dive sent her crashing into a pile of chairs.
The spot got a lot of attention, but not everyone was on board. One fan criticized her decision to wrestle such dangerous matches outside of WWE, writing, “She went from making great money to trying to kill herself for some change.” Shotzi didn’t let it slide. She fired back on social media with a blunt correction:
“Made more money in 2 days than what WWE paid me for a week.”
That’s not just a comeback—it’s a statement. For Shotzi, the risk is worth the reward. And by her own words, the reward is just fine.

She’s not slowing down, either. Shotzi is set to appear at MLW’s Summer of the Beasts on June 26 at Melrose Ballroom in New York City. Between GCW and MLW, it’s clear she’s fully embracing her post-WWE run—and making it profitable.
