Shiloh Hill stood out thanks to his solid promo skills and character work, especially since he was coached by The Undertaker and now Hill has revealed the biggest piece of advice he’s gotten from the Deadman.

While speaking to MuscleManMalcolm, Shiloh Hill was asked about the biggest piece of advice he got from the Undertaker. The biggest lesson from The Undertaker was about always taking advantage of every opportunity. Shiloh mentioned a specific day with CM Punk where a promo wasn’t delivered, and both Punk and Shiloh were upset about it. The Undertaker made it clear how important it is not to miss those moments.

“In terms of the wrestling, in terms of like the technical or like the in-n-outs of the wrestling business, the biggest thing was taking every opportunity.

You probably saw that day with CM Punk where I didn’t cut a promo and then he was upset with me, I was upset with me, everyone was upset with me—and yeah, [Undertaker] very much stressed the importance of taking those opportunities.”

Beyond the technical side, what left the strongest impression on Hill was how the legends carried themselves. It wasn’t something they said directly, but actually how they acted. Despite everything they had accomplished in their careers, they weren’t unpleasant or arrogant. They were respectful, friendly, and genuinely cared about helping younger talent.

Hill stated that all of the legends were supportive and eager to guide the next generation. They showed real passion for the business and wanted to build relationships with the newer wrestlers.

“But I actually think that the most important thing that he taught me—and that all the legends taught me as well—not through like them telling me, but just by example was like: just because you do all these things and accomplish all these things doesn’t mean you have to be a miserable person to be around.

Honestly, all the legends were super cool, super helpful. They cared so much about us as like young wrestlers getting into the business that they were so passionate about, and they’re just like nice guys and girls that want to get to know us and want to help us.”

The biggest takeaway for Shiloh was to stay grounded. As careers grow and success comes, he stated that it’s important to remain humble and help those who are coming up next.

“That is probably the thing that I’ll take with me the most. Like, further down the line when any of us do start to have some success or whatnot, just maintaining that humble perspective and looking out for the younger people that are coming after you.”

Hill was unable to win WWE LFG Season 1 after losing to Jasper Troy and while he’s still not over that loss, Hill is determined to win Season 2 and earn an NXT contract. Under The Undertaker’s guidance once again, we’ll have to see if he can finally pull it off.
