Shiloh Hill’s WWE journey wasn’t the result of some long-term strategy—it started with a WrestleMania shirt and a perfectly timed encounter.
During his interview on Going Ringside, the LFG winner revealed the surprising moment that kickstarted his pro wrestling career. While still playing linebacker at Stanford, Hill was walking around campus when a teammate told him WWE recruiters were visiting for their Next In Line (NIL) program. That alone was a cool opportunity—but what happened next was pure chance.
“I just happened to be that day wearing a WrestleMania shirt. And so, I was walking around the campus looking for where he said the people were meeting, and I walked by the office that everyone was in. One of them saw me in the WrestleMania shirt and they called out and they were like, ‘Hey, do you like wrestling?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I love wrestling.’”
It didn’t take long for WWE to jump at the chance to talk to him.
“They were like, ‘Would you be interested in being a wrestler?’ And I was like, ‘Absolutely, yeah.’”
That simple yes led to WWE putting Hill in touch with the NIL program heads. Two years later, he’s standing tall as the LFG winner, training at the WWE Performance Center, and already sharing promo segments with top names like Ethan Page.
Hill’s revelation proves that in the world of WWE, you never know who’s watching—or how quickly your life can change just because you threw on the right shirt.
