John Cena is just a day away from wrestling the final match of his career, but that didn’t stop one former WWE Superstar from making a last-minute plea to get the GOAT on her podcast.
Shelly Martinez, who once wrestled in WWE as Ariel, posted a video to her YouTube channel on December 12 directly addressing Cena. Her request? A guest appearance on her podcast, Vampire Radio. Martinez made her case in a way only she could — cheeky, unfiltered, and to the point. In the video, she looked straight into the camera and pitched her dream interview with full confidence:
“Cena, you have to let me interview you for Vampire Radio. Why? Cuz duh, it’s good for business. Look, it’s pre-recorded. So, if I say something that I’m not supposed to, which I probably will, or you don’t want to talk about something, we don’t have to. So, hit me up in my DMs and let’s schedule it.”
She even added a personal touch at the end, referencing Cena’s father, “John Cena on Vampire Radio. P.S., tell your pops I said hello.”
This plea comes at a time when Cena is on a full-blown media tour ahead of his retirement match. The 17-time World Champion has appeared on The Pat McAfee Show, Chris Van Vliet, Joe Rogan, and more — so Martinez is clearly hoping to squeeze into his final days as an active WWE talent.
Cena, for his part, has confirmed that although he’s stepping away from in-ring competition, he plans to stay with WWE in an ambassador role. On McAfee’s show, he explained how important it is to him to remain close to the business even as he shifts focus back to Hollywood:
Whether he ends up on Vampire Radio or not, Cena’s farewell tour is bringing out all the tributes — and all the pitches.
