Before entering WWE, Sheamus competed in the European independent circuit, training under Larry Sharpe and Finlay. He signed with WWE in 2006, debuting on the ECW brand in 2009. Known as The Celtic Warrior, Sheamus made an immediate impact by becoming the WWE Champion just months after his main roster debut. Over the years, he has captured the World Heavyweight Championship, United States Championship, Intercontinental Championship, WWE Tag Team Championships, and won the King of the Ring, Royal Rumble, and Money in the Bank, making him one of WWE’s most accomplished Grand Slam Champions.
Stephen Farrelly grew up in Dublin, where he played Gaelic football and rugby before pursuing wrestling. He is proud of his Irish heritage, often incorporating Celtic imagery, Irish battle songs, and cultural references into his persona. His signature pale complexion, fiery red hair, and physical brawling style have made him one of WWE’s most recognizable global superstars.
Outside of the ring, Sheamus is known for his fitness lifestyle and hosts a popular YouTube series, Celtic Warrior Workouts, where he trains with fellow WWE stars, celebrities, and athletes. His passion for health and strength training is a major part of his life away from wrestling.
In 2022, Sheamus married his longtime partner Isabella Revilla, with the couple tying the knot in a private ceremony in New York. They have shared glimpses of their life together, but largely keep their personal life private.
Sheamus currently resides in the United States but frequently visits Ireland and remains connected to his roots. Known for his sense of humor, work ethic, and love for a good fight, Sheamus continues to be one of WWE’s most respected veterans and a key figure in the locker room.
