As soon as Shayna Baszler was released by WWE, people automatically assumed she might just join AEW. While there’s no guarantee of that happening, Baszler has addressed going there.

While speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Shayna Baszler was asked about the possibility of joining AEW after her WWE release. She said she is close friends with Marina Shafir and has many friends in AEW, so there have been some talks about what the future might hold.

Baszler explained that, just like when she moved from UFC to WWE, the letters of the company are not as important to her as being able to practice her craft. She added that working alongside her friends would be an ideal situation, so she would not completely rule out the idea.

“Obviously, it’s not a secret I’m really good friends with Marina, I have a lot of friends there, so there’s been some discussion on what the future could hold. I said almost exactly this statement when I made the transition from UFC to WWE—I don’t care as much about the letters behind it, I just want to practice my craft. If I can do that alongside my friends, that’s always a great place to be. So, you know, I’m not gonna say a hard no to any of that.”

On the other hand, Shayna Baszler is open to becoming a full-time producer in WWE as long as her conditions are fulfiled. Nevertheless, we’ll have to see if she does end up joining AEW, since many fans feel she would be a great addition to the Death Riders.
