Shayna Baszler has officially spoken out following her shocking WWE release—and she’s not holding back. The former UFC fighter turned WWE mainstay took to Twitter with a fiery response after news broke that she was let go as part of the latest wave of post-WrestleMania talent cuts.
“No one can offer what I have to offer. Reality. Let the Galaxy burn,” Baszler wrote, making it crystal clear that she’s not planning on fading quietly into the background.
Her reaction comes on the heels of earlier reports, which confirmed that WWE is currently undergoing another round of layoffs. Baszler’s name being on the list left many stunned, considering her ongoing presence on television and her credibility as one of WWE’s most legitimate threats in the women’s division.
Baszler built her name first in the UFC, then dominated in NXT where she became a two-time Women’s Champion. She tore through the competition, even running the table in the 2020 Elimination Chamber match. On the main roster, she held tag team gold with both Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey, even facing Rousey in a shoot-style match at SummerSlam 2023.
Now, under WWE’s new TKO-era cost-cutting strategy, even someone with Baszler’s resume isn’t safe. WWE has not yet commented on her release, continuing a pattern of quietly letting top names go without formal announcements.
Baszler’s message to fans—and maybe to WWE—is clear: she knows her worth, and she’s ready to raise hell wherever she lands next.
