Stephanie Vaquer just had the biggest night of her WWE career, and Shawn Michaels made sure she knew it. After capturing the NXT Women’s North American Championship at Vengeance Day, the Hall of Famer took to Twitter on February 16 to acknowledge the new champ.
“The future is NOW. @Steph_Vaquer, the moment is yours! Congratulations to the new NXT Women’s North American Champion!”
Along with the message, Michaels shared a backstage photo standing side by side with Vaquer, who proudly held her newly won championship. The moment instantly caught attention as WWE fans reacted to the endorsement from one of the greatest of all time.
Vaquer’s victory wasn’t an easy one. She battled Fallon Henley in the opening match of the event, fighting off both Henley and Fatal Influence interference to claim the gold. The match had plenty of intense moments, including Henley using outside help from Jacy Jayne, but Vaquer overcame it all, capping off her performance with a high-risk dive before securing the pin.
With this win, Vaquer has officially arrived in NXT, marking her first singles championship in WWE. Now, the question is—who’s stepping up to challenge her first?
