Shawn Michaels isn’t just building the future of WWE in the NXT locker room—he’s loving what he’s hearing on commentary, too.

In a new conversation with Brad Gilmore of Reality of Wrestling, the Hall of Famer opened up about how much fun it’s been working alongside Booker T, Vic Joseph, and Corey Graves behind the scenes.

When Gilmore gave props to the commentary crew for keeping NXT entertaining and insightful, Michaels couldn’t help but echo the love—especially when it came to Booker T. “From a personal, I guess, standpoint, it has been phenomenal for me to get to strengthen and have a much better and bigger relationship with Booker, having gotten to know him so much better since working with him here in NXT,” he said.

Michaels added that Booker’s energy behind the desk reflects his real-life passion for developing new stars. “To understand that his passion and his desire to help all of these young men and women get better and improve—you guys do it there in Houston at Reality of Wrestling—but I mean, Booker just brings that passion over here to NXT and shares it with our talent week in and week out.”

And it’s not just Booker. Michaels gave the entire announce crew their flowers. “When it comes to a commentating team, that’s one of the things I love about NXT—we’re all one big family,” he said. “We all communicate a lot, we have a lot of collaboration between each and every one of us. And I think, again, Corey was a huge addition to that team. I think they’ve really found their footing now. And as you say, at the very, very least, it is going to be incredibly entertaining every time you tune in on Tuesday nights on The CW.”

Whether it’s Booker hyping up the action, Vic dropping slick one-liners, or Corey dissecting the chaos with pinpoint precision, NXT’s commentary booth is becoming just as must-watch as the in-ring talent. And with Shawn Michaels backing the squad and calling it a “family,” it’s clear this crew isn’t going anywhere.
