WWE just raised the stakes for Friday Night SmackDown by officially kicking off the road to Elimination Chamber—and it’s all going down tonight.

WWE took to Twitter and released a video featuring SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis confirming the first official qualifying matches for Elimination Chamber 2026. Both the men’s and women’s divisions are getting their shot at the Chamber—starting tonight. The matches will see Lash Legend face Tiffany Stratton and Chelsea Green. In another qualifying bout, Aleister Black squares off against Solo Sikoa and Randy Orton.

Aldis hyped the night in Charlotte, calling it a “wild” show that also includes a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match, as IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley will defend the Women’s Tag Team Titles against Giulia and Kiana James. On top of that, there’s an appearance by 2026 Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan.

“#WWEChamber Qualifying Matches begin, a WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match AND @YaOnlyLivvOnce in the building?!? @RealNickAldis previews a WILD night ahead on #SmackDown TONIGHT in Charlotte!”

Morgan has been “exploring her options” since winning the Rumble and showing up on both brands, and tonight’s SmackDown could be where she drops a major WrestleMania 42 decision.

The rest of the card was already shaping up to be strong. Shinsuke Nakamura and Tama Tonga are set to square off for the first time ever on WWE TV, a match born out of real NJPW history after Tonga publicly mocked Nakamura’s WWE run by suggesting he go on a “Shinsuke Sayōnara” tour.

Tonight’s episode airs live from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC, so it’s one show fans shouldn’t miss.
