The February 21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown was already set to be a big night with The Rock making his grand return, but now, plans for the show have reportedly been reworked—and some major matches are no longer happening.

According to WrestleVotes, WWE adjusted the SmackDown lineup after officially announcing The Final Boss for the show. “Tonight’s SmackDown plans have been reworked following the announcement of The Rock’s appearance. Rumblings that both Naomi vs. Liv Morgan and the six-man tag featuring Cody, Priest & Strowman vs. Solo, Jacob & Tama Tonga are off.”

With Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest, Braun Strowman, Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga all set to collide, the six-man tag match being pulled is a major shake-up. Additionally, fans looking forward to Naomi vs. Liv Morgan will have to wait, as that match is also reportedly scrapped from the show.

As of now, Drew McIntyre vs. Jimmy Uso is still set to go down, but with The Rock in the building, anything could change at the last second.

All eyes are on SmackDown to see exactly what The Rock has planned. WWE has been teasing a “big beautiful gift to New Orleans”, which could mean a WrestleMania 42 announcement for 2026, but with WrestleMania 41 only nine weeks away, many are wondering if this is the night The Rock finally confirms his status for the biggest show of the year.

With these last-minute changes, do you think The Rock’s presence is leading to something bigger? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
