Seth Rollins isn’t making any promises about his return—and he knows fans have every reason to be skeptical.
The former World Heavyweight Champion opened up to Men’s Health about his shoulder injury, recovery timeline, and whether he’ll be ready in time for WrestleMania 42. Rollins has been sidelined since WWE Crown Jewel in October 2025, when he tore his rotator cuff—an injury that led to him being stripped of the title after a brutal betrayal by The Vision on RAW. Asked point-blank if he’ll make it back by April, Rollins didn’t sugarcoat it:
“Don’t know. Don’t know the answer to that yet. The timeline for shoulder surgery and repair is, you know, four to six months or so. Did my rotator cuff back in October. I’m rehabbing, and as long as there’s no setbacks, I hope to be cleared by the time WrestleMania rolls around in April.”
But even if he’s medically ready, Rollins made it clear the final call isn’t his:
“At the end of the day—that decision isn’t mine. I just can do the best I can day after day, get myself in a good position, and hope for the best.”
Rollins then addressed the skepticism that follows him every time he gets hurt. Over the years, some fans and critics have questioned whether his injuries were legit or storyline-driven. This time, Rollins leaned into the doubt with some classic Rollins sarcasm:
“I guess you don’t [know]. I mean, you can call my doctor if you want. Otherwise, you’re just gonna have to take my word for it. But yeah, I mean, that’s on me. I’ve blown my credibility when it comes to my injuries, but, it pays the same, so I don’t really care.”
Rollins’ return status is one of the biggest wildcards on the road to WrestleMania 42. Whether he’s cleared in time or not, you can bet WWE will have something big waiting for him—especially after that betrayal.
