Seth Rollins isn’t staying quiet when it comes to CM Punk landing the cover of WWE 2K26—and his thoughts are as sharp as ever.

During an interview with Gaming Bible, Rollins gave his unfiltered opinion on WWE’s decision to feature Punk as the face of this year’s video game, which drops March 13.

“I never feel like CM Punk is the right choice to be the representative of anything that has to do with this business and this company,” Rollins said.

Punk, the current World Heavyweight Champion, was officially revealed as the cover star during the Royal Rumble Kickoff Show. The announcement marked his return to a WWE video game cover for the first time since WWE ’13—but not everyone in the locker room is applauding the move. Rollins made it clear he’s not behind the decision, but acknowledged the choice wasn’t his to make.

“But it’s not my decision, it’s not my sandbox, and these aren’t my toys. I don’t get to make those calls, but it is what it is. If they think they can sell video games with CM Punk on the cover? Go for it.”

The Rollins-Punk rivalry has simmered for years, and this is just the latest spark in their ongoing war of words—now spilling over into the digital space as WWE 2K26 nears release. With Punk narrating this year’s Showcase Mode and Rollins still not holding back, it’s safe to say the tension between the two isn’t going anywhere.
