John Cena might’ve dropped a bomb on RAW when he said he was “breaking up” with the WWE Universe—but it turns out he’s not the only one who feels that way. Seth Rollins just co-signed Cena’s harsh truth, and he didn’t hold back either.

During a new interview on The Rich Eisen Show, the former World Heavyweight Champion was asked whether pro wrestling has ever had a case of “Chief’s fatigue”—where fans turn on someone because they’re always winning.

Without hesitation, Rollins brought up Cena. “Oh, John Cena is the perfect example of that. Perfect example of that,” Rollins said. “He’s a guy who just recently turned heel for the first time in a long time but John, he’s the perfect example. He would win so much, they would just boo him. They go, ‘We want Cena, Cena sucks. We want Cena, Cena sucks.’ Yeah!”

Rollins doubled down on Cena’s RAW monologue, where the 16-time champ ripped the fans to pieces, saying they’d treated him like a “puppet” for 25 years and that no matter what he did, “it was never enough.” Cena capped off that tirade by calling the fanbase “toxic” and likening their relationship to an abusive one.

Now with Rollins publicly backing that same viewpoint, it’s clear Cena’s heel turn has more support than anyone expected—and maybe it wasn’t just a storyline jab after all.
