WWE’s Seth Rollins may be recovering from surgery, but he’s far from done.
Appearing on First Take, the former World Heavyweight Champion got real about his health, his injury history, and how much gas is left in his tank after 20+ years in the business. While he acknowledged he’s no stranger to wear and tear, Rollins made it clear that the end isn’t quite here—at least not yet.
Rollins was asked how he’s feeling after a career filled with knee issues, a recent shoulder surgery, and a back problem that popped up in 2024. Without sugarcoating anything, he laid it out bluntly:
“You know, I’ve got some chronic stuff going on. That’s for sure. I think any athlete that’s—you know, I’m almost 40 now and been doing this for over 20 years… I think I’m probably closer to the end than the beginning.”
Despite that sobering admission, Rollins didn’t sound like someone ready to pack it up and ride off into the sunset. In fact, he claimed he’s still operating at peak performance:
“However, I’m still under 40 and I feel like I’ve got a lot of years left. I feel like I’m really just in the middle of my prime right now. The physical hasn’t declined and mentally I’m as sharp as I’ve ever been. So there’s a lot left in the Seth Rollins tank, Stephen A.”
Even with Royal Rumble off the table due to a rotator cuff surgery in October, Rollins remains one of WWE’s most respected workhorses—and he made it crystal clear he’s not going anywhere just yet.
Seth Rollins isn’t thinking about retirement—but he’s thinking about reality. Whether he’s flying off the ropes or speaking from the heart, Rollins always delivers.
