Seth Rollins isn’t holding back when it comes to how he feels about CM Punk—and he’s made it crystal clear that he wants Punk nowhere near him or WWE’s biggest matches.
During an appearance on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, Rollins let loose on Punk’s recent return and what he feels is the real reason Punk didn’t get a spot in the Men’s Money in the Bank match. Rollins didn’t mince words when asked about the absence of the controversial star.
After being reminded that Braun Breakker took Punk out of the match, Rollins flat out confirmed it wasn’t a coincidence. “We made sure that Punk wasn’t in this match,” Rollins said before launching into a full-blown verbal takedown of his longtime rival.
Rollins explained just how done he is with dealing with Punk and questioned the former champion’s value to the locker room.
“Punk is not good for what we do. He’s a bad dude. He’s not a good dude. I’ve dealt with CM Punk for far too long.”
When host Kay Adams pushed back—suggesting that like any great competitor, Rollins should want to face someone like Punk—Rollins didn’t flinch. He doubled down with a savage reply.
“Work smarter, not harder. I’ve dealt with CM Punk for far too long. This guy shouldn’t even be in my wind space. I want him gone. I want him out of here. He doesn’t deserve a spot at a high-profile match like this.”
The bad blood between Rollins and Punk has deep roots. Rollins has publicly taken shots at Punk ever since his 2014 WWE walkout and hasn’t softened his stance even after Punk’s return to the company. Now that Rollins leads a faction on Raw alongside Paul Heyman—who also recently turned on Punk—the tension is reaching new levels. With Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed also riding with Rollins, the faction is growing stronger as Punk’s momentum stalls.
Whether this is all part of a storyline or something much more personal, one thing’s for sure: Rollins isn’t letting this feud fade quietly.
