Seth Rollins has always been open about his views on others in the wrestling world, whether it’s praise or criticism. He’s been very vocal about his dislike for Hulk Hogan, often calling out the WWE Hall of Famer. However, Rollins has now revealed what it would take for them to move past their issues and make amends.

While speaking on Outta Pocket RGIII, Seth Rollins was asked what it would take for him to forgive Hulk Hogan and be cool with him again. He said Hogan has always treated him well and that he was a fan growing up. But he also knows about the things Hogan has said and done, and he can’t ignore it.

Rollins thinks Hogan lets his ego get in the way and doesn’t really see how his actions hurt other people. Rollins said Hogan lives in his own world where he sees things a certain way, and that affects how people respond to him.

Rollins said if someone doesn’t treat everyone with respect, no matter who they are, what they do, or what color their skin is, then he doesn’t have time for them. He respects what Hogan did for wrestling, but as a person, he doesn’t want to hang out with him or be around him.

“Look, Hogan—again, I’ll kind of—I’ve glossed over it a little bit. Hogan’s always been great to me. He was a guy I was a fan of growing up, and he’s always been personally good to me.

But I’ve seen—like, I’m not stupid. I see everything that’s out there. He’s someone who, I think, is a victim of his own ego a little bit. He just doesn’t see—he doesn’t understand—how what he does affects the people around him. I think he lives in this space he’s created for himself, and he’s shaped his worldview that way. That’s just how he’s going to see things.

And if you’re going to be like that, people are going to treat you accordingly. I don’t know what to tell you. It’s just like any other relationship—if you’re not a good person, and it’s not in your moral ethic to treat everyone with the same respect regardless of what they do or where they come from or the color of their skin—then I got no time for you.

I’ve got respect for everything he’s done for my business. I appreciate that. But as a person, we’re probably not going to hang out, dude. That just is what it is.”

Rollins isn’t sure if Hogan still believes the same things he said in the past or if he just never really apologized for them. Maybe it’s both. But if you don’t try to grow or fix things with the people you hurt, then Rollins doesn’t want to be around you.

Rollins said Hulk Hogan needs to change the way he thinks. The kind of words Hogan used before were wrong, and it shows something about how he sees the world. Rollins said Hogan should really think about why he talks and thinks that way. Maybe he learned it from others, but either way, he needs to unlearn it.

Rollins also said that if people still think Hogan is that same person, then that’s something Hogan needs to understand and take seriously. If Hogan truly feels sorry, then he should say so in a real and honest way. If he doesn’t want to do that, Rollins says he won’t make time for him, and neither will the fans who boo him.

“Whether he hasn’t changed his personal beliefs, or he hasn’t taken the time to honestly make amends for some of the things he’s said and done—I don’t know which one it is. Maybe it’s both. Maybe it’s one more than the other. But you put those two things together and, man, you’ve kind of dug your own grave.

If you don’t feel like you want to make that progress in your life with the people around you, then I’m just not the kind of person who wants to associate with you.

First of all, you’ve got to change the way you think. You used the kind of language that he used, in the way he used it—it’s just not acceptable. And to me, that reflects your mindset. That tells me that’s the way you think. So you need to look at yourself in the mirror and realize that’s not okay. You need to realize you need to think differently.

How do you get yourself there? What process do you need to take? What am I doing? Why am I acting this way? Why am I thinking this way? Is this learned behavior? Likely it is. Why did I learn this? I need to unlearn this.

And why do people think I feel this way? If I’m saying that I don’t, then why do people still think I’m this person? You need to understand those are valid criticisms, and you need to give validity to that.

Then apologize. Profoundly apologize. If that’s something you feel you should do. And if you don’t, then I ain’t got time for you—and the people who boo you when you come out to the arenas, they don’t got time for you either.”

In the end, Rollins said it’s up to Hogan who he wants to be. But a lot of people just don’t want anything to do with him right now. Rollins thinks that’s sad, because Hogan has done a lot for wrestling and still has something to offer. He’s not like some older wrestlers who just talk bad about the new generation.

Rollins said he just wishes Hogan would look at himself, admit he messed up, and say he’s trying to be better. If he did that, Rollins thinks people like him might give him another chance.

“I just wish he would look in the mirror and say, ‘Dude, I screwed up. That’s not who I am. That’s not who I want to be. And I apologize for that. I hope you guys can accept my apology, and I’m trying to do better every day.’

And I think if he just approached it that way, it might go a long way in helping him build relationships with people like me, who are like, ‘H, I ain’t got time for you right now, man.'”

All of Rollins’ issues are linked to Hogan’s 2015 racist remarks scandal. Therefore, we will have to wait and see if The Hulkster will pay heed to The Visionary’s advice and ultimately mend fences with him.
