Seth Rollins is weighing in on one of wrestling’s favorite debates — the ultimate WWE Mount Rushmore.
While appearing on Club Shay Shay, the former World Heavyweight Champion was asked to break down his picks for the greatest WWE stars of all time. Rollins made it clear that the answer depends on how you frame the question.
When it comes to the biggest names in company history, Rollins pointed to four undeniable icons: Hulk Hogan, Bruno Sammartino, Steve Austin and The Rock. But when the conversation shifted specifically to in-ring greatness, the list became a lot more complicated. Rollins started with two names he believes are at the very top.
“If you wanna go like in-ring all time, you’re looking at Shawn Michaels, you’re looking at Eddie Guerrero, you’re looking at, after that it gets real hard.”
From there, he rattled off several legendary performers who deserve consideration. Rollins also made sure to acknowledge modern-era excellence.
“Dynamite Kid was really good but he was kind of a jerk, Bret Hart was really great. You could put Ric in there as well, Flair was special. Dusty was a special promo but Dusty’s in-ring work wasn’t blowing anyone out of the water.”
“Bryan Danielson would be up there I think. I’d like to be in the conversation at some point. AJ Styles, who also just retired, is someone who is one of the greatest of all time in the ring. “t’s a fun discussion but it’s hard to narrow it down.
With decades of WWE history filled with technical masters, show-stealers, and era-defining performers, the debate over an in-ring Mount Rushmore is bound to stay alive.
