Seth Rollins is finally speaking out about what it felt like to vacate the WWE World Heavyweight Championship—and he’s not sugarcoating the emotional toll.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio alongside his wife, Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, Rollins opened up when Bully Ray asked how he’s doing during his time away from the ring. The former champ admitted it wasn’t easy to let go of the gold.

“I’m great, I’m wonderful. I’m enjoying the time off—to an extent, you know. Took a couple weeks to kind of wrap my head around having to forfeit my world heavyweight championship. But it’s been good.”

Despite the setback, Rollins is staying positive. He said he’s been focused on family and appreciating the downtime with his daughter and Becky. Of course, that competitive fire hasn’t gone anywhere. Rollins made it clear that his return is only a matter of time.

“The time off has been nice. Get to spend time with a daughter, getting to talk American football, you know, watch my wife be the greatest of all time. It’s not been too bad.”

“Looking forward to getting back whenever that happens, but, you know, trying to make the most of it.”

Rollins’ injury may have cost him the title, but it’s clear he’s using the break to reset and stay close to the action—even if it’s from the sidelines for now. And with Becky Lynch continuing to dominate WWE as the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, the power couple is still running the show in more ways than one.
