Seth Rollins Explains Steve Austin’s Key Role in His Daughter’s Birth

Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins have been together for a long time now and they welcomed their beloved daughter Roux back in December 2020. Interestingly enough, Rollins has now credited Steve Austin for the birth of his daughter.

While speaking on Good Morning Football, Seth Rollins made it clear that he credits Steve Austin for the birth of his daughter. Looking back at March 2020, when COVID-19 shut down the world, WWE held its first show after the shutdown on RAW during 3:16 Day, a tradition where someone shares a drink with Stone Cold in the ring.

Rollins recalls that at the time, his wife Becky Lynch and the hottest name in professional wrestling, joined Austin and cracked open four beers with him. Later that night, Lynch told Rollins she was ready to take time off to start a family. Rollins says that if it weren’t for Steve Austin and that moment, he wouldn’t be a dad today. He expressed his gratitude to Austin, calling him the man.

“So, Stone Cold is the reason I have a daughter. Flashback to March 2020—everybody knows, COVID shuts down the world, right? First show post-COVID, post-shutdown, it’s 3:16 Day on RAW, and it’s customary for somebody to drink with Stone Cold in the ring.

At the time, the hottest thing in professional wrestling was my wife, The Man Becky Lynch. She happened to break open one, two, three, four cold ones with Stone Cold. At the end of RAW that night, she was like, ‘You know what? I think it’s time to take some time off to have a baby.’

If it weren’t for Steve Austin, I wouldn’t be a dad. So hell yeah—thanks, Steve-O, you’re the man!”

Becky Lynch also previously addressed the possibility of her daughter taking on a similar procession as her parents. The Man made it clear she would not stand in Roux’s way at all if she wanted to put on pro wrestling boots for a living, as she said, “If she wants to. I want her to do whatever makes her happy, and it’s afforded us a great life.”
