Seth Rollins Discovered Long-Lost Siblings After 23andMe DNA Test

Seth Rollins found more than ancestry when he spit into a tube for 23andMe—he found a sister and brother he never knew existed.

Speaking on Mohr Stories, Rollins revealed the wild real-life twist that began back in 2019 when he took a DNA test out of curiosity. Rollins, who never knew his biological father, explained that he was just hoping to learn more about his heritage—but ended up finding family instead.

“Around 2019. I took a 23andMe test just for fun. I never knew my biological dad. My mom got pregnant in 1985, moved back to Iowa, and married Ron Lopez—he’s my dad, who I call my dad—but I never met my biological father. He didn’t want anything to do with me or my mom or the family. Real stand-up guy.”

At first, nothing came up. But then, a few years later, someone matched—his half-sister. She was just as surprised as he was.

“She messaged me like, ‘What the hell—who’s your dad?’ I saw her last name and immediately knew, because my mom had told me the story. I was like, ‘Uh-oh, I think I’m your half-brother.’”

The half-sister, who turned out to be younger than Rollins, had no idea her father had another child. Neither did her brother—Rollins’ half-brother—who apparently needed time to accept the reality.

“She was floored. Completely floored, because her dad never told her or her brother anything. They had no clue… Same with my half-brother. He was in denial at first, like, ‘No way, that can’t be true.’”

Despite the shock, Rollins says they’re all on good terms now. And as for his biological father? That chapter’s still closed.

“I still haven’t met him. I’ve talked to him, but honestly, I don’t really have any desire to.”

Rollins’ story shows that even the biggest stars can get blindsided by real-life curveballs. While the DNA test started as a simple curiosity, it opened the door to long-lost family ties—and a past he never expected to confront.
