Seth Rollins was part of one of the biggest storylines in WWE history when he teamed up with Cody Rhodes to face The Rock and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. That match marked The Rock’s last in-ring appearance. With that said, Seth Rollins believes The Rock still has a couple more matches left in him.
While speaking on The Maggie and Perloff Show, Seth Rollins was asked how it felt to wrestle The Rock at WrestleMania 40 last year and whether he felt The Rock could do a full schedule as a WWE Superstar.
Rollins explained that stepping into the ring once might make someone think they can keep up with a full schedule, but it’s not as easy as it looks. Doing one match doesn’t automatically mean someone is ready for a full-time return.
The Visionary acknowledged that The Rock is smart enough to know his full-time wrestling days are behind him. However, Rollins believes The Rock could still compete in another match or two. He praised The Rock for being in top shape and fully prepared for the challenge. Given that The Rock hadn’t wrestled in 10 years, Rollins emphasized how difficult it must have been for him to perform at that level.
“You know, you get in there one time, and you might think you can do a full schedule, but I don’t know if it’s as easy as it looks. You don’t just get in there, do one match, and think, ‘Oh, okay, I can do this.’
He’s smart enough to know that his days of doing it full-time are gone. Do I think he can get in there and do one more or a couple more? Absolutely. He was in prime condition, he was ready to go, and he was a game opponent. For a guy that hadn’t done it in 10 years, that was really hard.”
The Rock appeared on both the first episodes of RAW and WWE NXT in 2025, proudly showing off his People’s Championship title. However, fans are still unsure if he will be ready for WrestleMania 41, as there are no clear signs that he will compete at the event yet. Therefore, we’ll have to see if The Final Boss will somehow end up competing at the Show of Shows.
