Fans in Perth were treated to an exciting night of pro wrestling action, even though it was early in the morning for most of us. WWE Crown Jewel’s evening ended with Seth Rollins taking on Cody Rhodes, which was a great way for those in North America to kick off their day.

WWE Crown Jewel 2025 was quite a night at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. One of the marquee matches saw a new Men’s Crown Jewel Champion crowned.

At WWE Crown Jewel, SmackDown’s Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes faced RAW’s World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in a singles match for the WWE Crown Jewel Championship. The match continued their long-running rivalry on one of WWE’s biggest international stages. Rhodes also entered the event as the defending champion, having won the same match at last year’s Crown Jewel.

This match went down as the main event of the show, and for good reason. Fans in Perth were treated to quite a showdown between these two shoo-in WWE Hall of Famers. After their big fight feel introductions, Seth Rollins, clad in yellow polka dots visible under the mesh of his tights, took a long time folding up his entrance attire and watch before handing it over to start the match.

Once they got going, Cody Rhodes had fans fully behind him as he started to apply punishment to Rollins. The match eventually spilled into the ringside area, where Cody cleaned off the announce table before the match carried on. The Prime Energy cart was pushed over by Rollins, and fans popped in a big way.

When the match returned to the ring, Seth Rollins had control. The contest kept going from there, and things really slowed down to the Visionary’s pace. Fans in Perth kept chanting for The American Nightmare, even though they booed the Star Spangled Banner previously in the night.

Fans also chanted for CM Punk to get under Seth Rollins’ skin. “F*ck ’em up Cody, f*ck em up!” was also chanted as the two traded shots in the ring. Both men gave their all in this match, and it was apparent that fans were all with it with every near fall.

Seth Rollins then went to ringside and got his watch to wrap it around his knuckles. When he returned, he was met with a greatest hits of moves from Cody Rhodes, including a Cross Roads, for a near fall. What followed was a comeback from Seth Rollins, that concluded in a coast to coast headbutt for a near fall of his own.

Eventually, the two ended up on the top rope, where Cody Rhodes nailed a top rope Cross Roads, but Seth Rollins still kicked out. That was the end of the match, but Rollins’ shoulder shot up anyway. Fans in Perth were astounded as the fight continued with both men absolutely spent.

After a bit of a back and forth, Seth Rollins grabbed the Rolex watch in the corner and then the referee took a bump after a shove. Cody set up for the Cross Roads, but Rollins got out and clocked him with his loaded Rolex fist. By the time the referee came to, Rollins nailed a Stomp on Cody and then he climbed to the top rope to hit a stomp from there to get the final pinfall and win the Crown Jewel Championship. This marked Seth Rollins’ first career win over Cody Rhodes, and it went down on quite a stage.
