Seth Rollins isn’t letting a torn rotator cuff keep him off the grand stage for long—he’s already mapping out his comeback, and WrestleMania 42 is circled on the calendar.
While speaking on Something’s Burning, Rollins opened up about the injury that’s kept him sidelined and gave fans a raw glimpse into the recovery process. For Rollins, there’s no sugarcoating it—being out of action sucks. But he’s making the most of the downtime by spending more time at home with his daughter and staying positive until he’s cleared to begin training again.
“Yeah, I mean, there’s nothing good about being hurt. I’m trying to find the silver linings, you know? I get to spend more time with my daughter, which is great — more time at home. Once I get this sling off, which is in like another month, then it might be full vacation mode for a little while before I lock in and have to start training to get ready to come back.”
Rollins expects the road back to be gradual, estimating a solid 8 to 12 weeks of training and dietary discipline once his shoulder is stable again. With WrestleMania 42 taking place April 18 and 19, 2026 in Las Vegas, his timing could be spot on. He’s aiming to start locking in around February—once the holidays and Super Bowl are behind him.
“Uh, gosh — it’ll probably be gradual. I don’t even really know. My guess is about 8 to 12 weeks of, ‘Okay, now I have to stop eating like an a*****.’ Probably 12 weeks. Plus, we’ll be moving right into WrestleMania season, which is when I — you know — 12-day weeks. April. Yeah. Yeah, that’s April. So I’m hoping like around February, after all the holiday stuff, I can start to be like, ‘Okay, lock in. No more BS.’ Probably after the Super Bowl and stuff, I would say. Like give myself a month before I come back-ish. Maybe — I don’t even know. You know, they say six months, so this could be April.”*
If the timeline holds, Rollins could be back just in time for a massive WrestleMania moment. Given his track record on WWE’s biggest stage, fans know he’ll want to make that return count.
