WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner’s son Brock has been making waves as part of Jacksonville State, but fans were more interested in Brock’s potential future in pro wrestling, especially after Scott Steiner revealed his son was offered a WWE NIL deal. In fact, it has now been confirmed that Brock Rechsteiner has signed the WWE NIL deal.
While speaking during an interview with Jim Varsallone, Brock’s brother Brandon Rechsteiner confirmed that Brock signed the deal and wants to join WWE in the future. Brandon plays basketball at Virginia Tech and hopes to go pro, but he sees wrestling as a backup plan.
Brandon noted that he was a big WWE fan as a kid and once wanted to be like John Cena but later focused on basketball. He now wants both himself and Brock to succeed in their sports, Brock in football and him in basketball, before joining WWE.
Brandon believes Brock will be a WWE superstar because he has talent and charisma, just like their dad. While Brandon is focused on basketball, he thinks wrestling could be a fun option later. He even suggested that he, Brock, and Bron Breakker could form their own version of The Bloodline or bring back the Steiner Brothers legacy.
“So my brother, he’ll be a superstar in the WWE, for sure. Growing up, I was the big WWE fan. I had every action figure. I was the biggest WWE fan. You couldn’t tell me I wasn’t gonna be John Cena when I was younger and then I kind of — I was just that kid that was trying to go against everything so my dad was a Michigan fan, I wanted Ohio State to win. My dad was a wrestler. I was like, ‘I don’t wanna wrestle. I want to play basketball.’ I was that kid, but when I was young-young, I loved it and then when I was in middle school, I was like, ‘I’m not gonna wrestle’ but now… my dream for me and my brother would both be to do the best we can in what we do, which him for football, me for basketball and then, for my brother, I know he really wants to be in WWE.
He has signed an N.I.L. deal with WWE so, my dream for him would be to do really good in football, try to take it to the NFL, whatever that means and then getting — and he will be a WWE superstar because he’s so talented and he has the charisma that my dad has and then for me, I wanna try to do as much basketball, whether I get drafted, I go undrafted, I get a G League offer, I go overseas, whatever it’ll be. Because I just love the game and then, to be in the WWE would be a pretty cool backup plan. Maybe be a Steiner brother 2.0 or me, Bronson (Bron Breakker) and my brother, we do a little Bloodline or something like that and just take it over.“
With Brock officially signing a WWE NIL deal, he is now part of a growing group of college athletes who could become pro wrestlers. For now, his main focus is football, but his long-term goal seems to be following in his father’s footsteps in WWE. Fans will be watching closely to see when he might start training at the Performance Center, as the future his definitely bright for Brock.
