Scott Steiner isn’t holding back when it comes to his thoughts on modern wrestling, and he’s making it clear—today’s stars don’t measure up to his era.

Taking to Twitter on February 6, Big Poppa Pump called out how wrestling has changed, making it clear that he isn’t impressed.

“Today’s wrestling is soft. Back in my day, we didn’t need 20-minute promos or social media beef—we handled business with suplexes, Steinerlines, and the Recliner. That’s the difference. My era of wrestling was the hardest-hitting era of all time. Period.”

For fans who grew up watching Steiner throw people around the ring with insane power, this isn’t exactly a surprise. The former WCW and WWE star has never been shy about speaking his mind, and now he’s taking aim at today’s wrestlers for focusing more on promos and social media than actual physicality.

This latest rant follows Steiner’s response to fans suggesting he train IShowSpeed, after the viral streamer teased a WWE return in 2026. Steiner made it clear that Speed wouldn’t survive one of his workouts, referencing Bron Breakker’s brutal spear at the Royal Rumble that nearly folded Speed in half.

But Steiner isn’t just talking—he’s teasing something big for WrestleMania week in Las Vegas.

“WrestleMania week in Vegas sounds like the perfect time for something BIG… maybe a test of strength, maybe a little Steiner domination. 💪🔥 You freaks better stay ready. More details coming soon.”

Whether that means an appearance, a challenge, or even a match, Steiner is clearly gearing up for something.

Do you agree with Steiner that wrestling has gotten soft, or do today’s stars deserve more credit? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
