WWE has several brands going right now, and NXT is certainly one of the most popular shows they have on the air. That being said, WWE isn’t making their developmental roster work through the entire Holiday season.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that NXT will air live on December 16. The episodes for December 23 and December 30 will be taped on December 16 and December 17.

NXT will return to live broadcasts on January 6. So, fans will get that authentically live action next year, but the Holidays will include a few pretaped episodes.

WWE’s grueling schedule used to require their stars to work on Christmas Day, and there were sometimes two shows going, ensuring that nobody had a break. Obviously, things are a lot different since the days that Vince McMahon ran the operation, because he didn’t care about Christmas.
