Saraya brought a lot of attention to herself when she decided to let her WWE contract expire. Then she inked a deal with Tony Khan’s company, where she would wrestle for AEW, breaking a years-long absence from the ring. In recent memory, she’s been off television and fans are wondering about here whereabouts.
During Fightful Select’s Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Saraya’s current situation, and why she’s been off television. After all, rumors about her being injured certainly sly around whenever she’s absent.
It was stated that Saraya is doing okay physically. She’s just been working on a lot of other things. In other news, she has inked a one-year deal extension with AEW.
“She’s fine and she’s okay. She’s working on other projects and agreed to the one-year extension with AEW.”
As of this writing, Saraya’s most recent match took place on October 8, 2024, during AEW’s Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite at Spokane Arena. The match was a four-way contest for the AEW Women’s World Title #1 Contender contest, featuring Saraya, Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter, and Nyla Rose. In the end, Willow Nightingale won the match to secure her shot at the AEW Women’s World Title.
Saraya is far from finished with AEW. If anything, fans have at least one more year of her in Tony Khan’s company. We will have to see if she gets back into a title hunt, but for now, she is concentrating on all the other things that she has going on in her life.
