Saraya got brutally honest about her sobriety journey during her Rule Breakers poolside AMA filmed in Orlando, and for the first time, she revealed exactly when she had her last drink. The conversation came up when a fan asked how sobriety was going and if she had any tips for staying grounded.

Saraya admitted that staying away from alcohol and drugs is easier for her now, but the mental battle never fully disappears. She explained how coming back to Florida stirred up a lot of old memories of partying with her friends, including her partner Joey.

“Yeah, sobriety… that part… drinking and drugs is easy for me now, which I’m really grateful for. Like, I can be in places and go places and like if someone wants to offer me a drink… you know, since being in Florida, I’ve had a couple of people that’s come and they’re just like, ‘Let’s go out drinking and stuff,’ you know, because they keep forgetting that I’m sober. And, you know, being here is… Last time I was here, especially with Joey, like we were [expletive] drinkers, dude. We were partying and stuff like that going off and it’s definitely weird coming back here sober and old and just like knowing all these memories are here.”

Joey, sitting beside her, joked that they aren’t old yet. Saraya laughed but pointed out how much has changed since their wild days.

She went on to admit that even though she kicked alcohol and drugs, her addictive personality hasn’t disappeared. Instead of drinking, she picked up vaping—a habit she’s still fighting to break.

“The only thing is, is that I do have a very addictive personality. I do… like, it’s a [expletive] pain in the ass. So, you know, I went to Coachella and… one of my friends was like, everyone wanted to do something fun and I was like, ‘Okay, well, I can’t drink and do any of that stuff, but I can… I’ll do a vape.’ So, I got a vape and I haven’t let that thing go since. And I, like, it’s… I get really frustrated with myself and I’ve thrown it away a couple of times and then I’ll go and get a new one. And, uh, that’s the only thing that I’m frustrated with is… I know if I start something, I wouldn’t be able to stop. And I’m very aware that I should not be vaping either, but, um, yeah, it’s… it’s just really hard. Like, I know if I throw it away, I’ll try and run and get another one. So, I’m just… I’m in the middle of trying to kick that habit now, too.”

The conversation then shifted to the big question everyone wanted answered—when was the last time she actually had a drink? Saraya finally shared the moment that marked the start of her sober journey.

“Oh my gosh. So, I don’t even know the exact date, which is really frustrating, ’cause one day I just decided to stop. And then, you know, I tried not to think about it too much. But it is… I know the last drink I had. And it was just one beer. And it was Raquel’s birthday in 2018. It was Raquel’s birthday, and then I just stopped. And I wasn’t trying to get drunk. I just… it was social, you know. And I… I just had one beer and I… I… I was proud of myself for just having that, but then I just stopped. Just stopped.”

Saraya credited her support system, including Joey and Raquel, for keeping her grounded. Even with the ups and downs, she’s proud of how far she’s come—but she also made it clear that sobriety isn’t a finish line, it’s a daily process.
