Saraya Pulls Out of Monster Mania Convention Due to Emergency With Her Dog

Saraya has pulled out of her scheduled appearance at this weekend’s Monster Mania convention in New Jersey — and the reason is deeply personal.

The former AEW star, known to fans as Paige during her WWE run, revealed via Instagram that she had to deal with a serious health emergency involving her beloved dog, Lobster. Saraya broke the news through a heartfelt message on social media, explaining what’s been going on behind the scenes.

“I’ll start this off with saying HE’S ALIVE just so I don’t spook people with this kinda post,” she wrote. “It’s also a long post but please stop and read.”

She then went into detail about how her dog has been battling for his life over the past few months.

“That being said. He’s been a very sick boy. And for everyone that knows me, knows Lobster is my world. My soul dog. He saved me 8 years ago when I rescued him in Orlando Florida. He’s been through it all with me. He’s my best friend.”

After discovering a severe cough, Saraya rushed him to the emergency vet, where a mass was found in his lung.

“They told me he has a cancer mass in his lung and said they’re sorry there’s not much they can do… I refused to give up on him.”

Lobster underwent surgery and chemotherapy, and eventually, doctors confirmed he was cancer-free. However, things took a terrifying turn when he began hemorrhaging from the nose and coughing up blood.

“He would not stop bleeding for over 6 hours. Luckily it slowed down but it was a persistent flow.”

The fear was that the cancer had returned — potentially spreading to the brain. But Saraya got a different diagnosis when her dog’s doctor finally reviewed everything.

“I got the news today he DOES NOT have cancer and it’s a bad fungal infection he picked up because when you do chemo your immune system is completely shot.”

Despite being very sick, Lobster is recovering and staying by Saraya’s side.

“Although my boy is very sick he’s a fighter and he is so strong! I love him so much! I am so grateful I get to have my sweet boy beside me. I’m so f**king happy. I cried happy tears today knowing I didn’t lose my best friend.”

Saraya’s emotional update is a reminder of how much love and loyalty exists between people and their pets. Her absence from Monster Mania is understandable, and fans are surely sending their well-wishes to her and Lobster.
