Santino Marella is hoping for a full-circle moment in WWE history, and he’s looking at this week’s SmackDown in Bologna, Italy as the perfect stage for it.

Speaking with Maurizio Merluzzo, Marella revealed that he messaged his daughter, current NXT star Arianna Grace, and told her to push for a main roster debut on March 21’s SmackDown in Italy.

“I think now the popularity of Italy is coming back up. My daughter wrestles in NXT, and I believe this year she’ll be called up. So I messaged her yesterday and said, ‘Hey, see if you can debut in Bologna on SmackDown. It’ll be historical.’ I don’t know if she is, but that would be amazing.”

Marella, who had a legendary debut in Milan in 2007, where he won the Intercontinental Championship in his first match, knows the impact a moment like this could have on Grace’s career. While there’s no official word on whether WWE has plans to bring her up yet, Marella has been vocal about wanting to team with his daughter for a mixed tag match at WrestleMania someday.
