The Sandman isn’t convinced by the promises of WWE Legends deals. The hardcore wrestling icon revealed during an appearance on the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast that he was approached about one—but his take on those deals is far from positive.

He didn’t outright say no to the offer, but when asked if he has a Legends deal with WWE, Sandman admitted he doesn’t—and explained why he’s never been interested in one.

“No, I don’t. No, they asked. I was like, “no legends deal”.”

It wasn’t just personal preference—Sandman made it clear that his opinion comes from years of hearing others complain about the contracts.

“Well, because nobody ever said a good thing about a legends deal. I never heard one person say a good thing about them signing a nostalgia agreement”

Legends contracts have become a standard way for WWE to maintain merchandising rights, ensure exclusive appearances, and bring veteran stars back for nostalgia moments. But for Sandman, the reputation around those deals seems to be enough to keep him away—at least for now.
