Sammy Guevara hasn’t appeared on AEW television since early January — and now the ROH Tag Team Champion is finally addressing when fans might see him back.
The former TNT Champion hasn’t appeared on AEW programming since the January 7, 2026 episode of Dynamite, where he lost to ROH Champion Bandido. Around that same time, Guevara posted a vlog showing the aftermath of that match, where he appeared backstage with blood running from his face and hinted he may have suffered a broken nose. But according to Guevara, his absence from AEW TV isn’t about being unable to compete.
During an Instagram Story Q&A on March 3, 2026, Guevara responded directly to a fan who asked when he’ll be back on AEW programming. While he admitted he doesn’t have a clear answer, he made it clear he’s physically ready whenever the company decides to bring him back. He said:
“When am I going to be back on AEW TV? That’s a great question. Who knows — maybe tomorrow? No, I won’t be there tomorrow. Uncertain. I would like to be, but that’s not really a question for me. I just do my thing and make sure I’m ready.”
Guevara also made it clear that from a physical standpoint, he feels good and could step into the ring immediately if AEW called him. In other words, Guevara says the ball is in AEW’s court. He added:
“They could literally call me at any point and I could go out there and compete for 30 minutes. I feel great, I feel healthy. So whenever I get that call, your boy’s ready.”
For now, Guevara’s AEW television return remains uncertain — but if his own words are any indication, the former TNT Champion isn’t waiting on recovery. He’s waiting on the phone to ring.
