Ricochet lit up social media this week with a scorched-earth rant about WWE—and now his wife, Samantha Irvin, is stepping in to defend him in a big way.

Samantha broke her silence on February 5, 2026, one day after her husband Ricochet went scorched-earth on his former employer. The AEW National Champion aired out his grievances in a series of brutal tweets, accusing WWE of “killing legacies and love of the sport.”

“They took my love of pro wrestling away. I’ll never forget how I felt walking into work every week. And that platform was only to make others look good at my expense. And I told them, I’d rather quit and go back to the indies and make whatever I’d make there than to come back next week.”

When a fan tweeted that it was wild for people to “tell @KingRicochet he’s wrong for how HE FEELS about his former place of employment,” Samantha replied with a not-so-subtle shot at WWE’s behind-the-scenes politics:

“And suggesting that other people will be ‘punished’ for his opinions is not normal and we should definitely examine that…”

She wasn’t done. Another user tried to dismiss Ricochet’s interview comments as bitterness, writing: “He can’t keep the brand outta his mouth, dude is obsessed 💀💀.”
Samantha quickly clapped back with a reality check: “It was an interview tho.”

But her most powerful message came when a troll took things personal—saying Ricochet “never shuts the f*** up about WWE” and comparing his behavior to someone “talking about your ex everyday when you’ve been in a new relationship for 2 years.” Samantha didn’t take the bait. Instead, she responded with grace: “It’s ok guys you can still love WWE. Don’t let his words hurt 🙏🏽”

Irvin’s message was clear: Ricochet’s experience doesn’t have to invalidate anyone else’s. And just because he’s moved on doesn’t mean the rest of the wrestling world has to feel attacked by what he shares.

What do you think of Samantha Irvin’s response? Was she justified in stepping in—or should she have stayed out of it? Drop your thoughts below.
