Ryback recently got offended after Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens seemingly threw shade at his booking rates after his WWE exit. However, it turns out that wasn’t the case at all and now Ryback has admitted he was wrong.

The Big Guy took to Twitter and cleared up a misunderstanding about the video clip with Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes on What Do You Want to Talk About? as he stated that after talking to Kevin Owens, he found out that the person they were talking about in the clip wasn’t him. Ryback said his name did come up in another part of the conversation, but not in that specific part.

Ryback admitted he assumed it was about him because the name was blocked out and Cody mentioned doing shows with the person. Since he hasn’t been talked about publicly much in recent years, he thought they were referring to him, but he was wrong.

Ryback thanked Kevin Owens for being honest and said he has always respected both Kevin and Cody Rhodes. He said this was a good reminder to ask questions instead of jumping to conclusions. He’s also glad that the post brought attention to his story, which he thinks has been misunderstood in the past.

“I want to clarify something from my recent post regarding the clip with @FightOwensFight and @CodyRhodes . After speaking with Kevin, he confirmed the person referenced in that specific comment wasn’t me. My name did come up in another part of the conversation, but not in that clip. I jumped to conclusions based on the name being censored and Cody mentioning working shows with the guy. Since I haven’t been publicly mentioned much in years, I assumed it was about me — and I was wrong. I appreciate Kevin for the honest conversation. We always got along, and I’ve always respected both him and Cody. This is a reminder to ask before assuming, and I’m grateful the post brought awareness to my story regardless, as a lot has been misunderstood in the past. Much love to you both. 👊”

Fans are glad to know that Ryback admitted his mistake and that he jumped to conclusions before actually knowing the whole story. Regardless, we hope Ryback doesn’t end up assuming things like this in the future, as fans also feel he should know better by now.
