Ryan Cabrera is opening up about a frightening chapter in his life with Alexa Bliss — one that involved death threats, a stalker, and a situation that got so serious it eventually led to an arrest.
While speaking with Joel Madden on March 4, 2026, Cabrera revealed that he received numerous death threats from a man who believed he was actually married to Bliss. According to Cabrera, the situation escalated to the point where the individual began showing up near their home.
Cabrera explained that the threats started online, with messages becoming increasingly disturbing as the person claimed Bliss was his wife and even insisted Cabrera had somehow stolen money from him.
“The amount of death threats I’ve gotten since that — really, especially in the beginning. And a lot of it… about three years ago we actually had to get a stalker put in jail. It took over a year to make it happen. But he was showing up at our house, on the front lawn.”
Ryan Cabrera said the messages became extremely detailed, including references to where the couple lived and accusations that Cabrera had been catfishing the man for over $400,000.
“I was getting all these death threats on Instagram, and a lot of them got way too detailed — like where we lived and all these things. He thought he was married to Alexa. He was clearly an unwell person. Something was going on. From what he said, he had sent over 0,000 somewhere — who knows where. And he thought it was me catfishing him or something, like I got all this money. He was saying things like, ‘We’re not actually married, Hendrix isn’t my kid,’ or whatever. It was crazy.”
The situation became even more alarming when Cabrera spotted someone wearing camouflage hiding in bushes near their house while he was leaving to play golf with his father. He immediately called Bliss, who was home alone at the time, and warned her to stay alert and keep the doors locked.
“But the death threats were real. One day I was leaving the house to go play golf with my dad for his birthday, and I saw a guy in camouflage sitting in the bushes across from the house. It was scary. There are duck hunters behind our house, so I thought maybe he’s wearing camouflage because he’s duck hunting, but why is he sitting in that bush?”
Cabrera said Bliss later heard someone banging on the door and initially thought it might be a delivery — but fortunately she didn’t open it. Security footage later confirmed the man outside their home was the same person sending the threats online.
“Eventually we found video footage and it was him. I came straight home, got inside, and called the police. He wouldn’t leave — he just sat down on the lawn across the street. This was in Florida. It was the same guy sending all those death threats.”
Cabrera said the threats even extended to their Los Angeles home, prompting police involvement because of how serious the situation had become. Eventually, authorities arrested the stalker and resolved the situation — but Cabrera admitted the experience was terrifying, especially with a newborn daughter in the house.
“But nobody takes it seriously until it’s too late. I was even getting messages about it at the LA house. He found the address and was saying, ‘I’m coming to your house.’ I had the chief of police come to the house. You can’t play around with that. You never know what someone might do. Eventually they caught him and dealt with it, but it’s scary. Especially once you have a kid. Our daughter was a baby at the time, and my wife could have been holding her when opening the door and been face to face with this guy.”
For Ryan Cabrera, the ordeal was a really scary reminder of how dangerous obsessive behavior can become — particularly when it escalates beyond the internet.
“That’s the scary part about this world sometimes. People get twisted. They start thinking things like, ‘You stole our girl,’ and you’re like, ‘Wait, what?’ We’re married. It’s crazy how twisted it can get.”
Thankfully, the situation was eventually resolved — but this whole ordeal just goes to show how quickly online obsession can turn into a real-world threat.
