WWE Hall of Famer RVD has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to being a professional wrestler since he has competed for decades all over the world. In fact, he has now shown interest in joining the WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats) series on A&E in the future.
While speaking on the 1 of a Kind podcast, RVD talked about how WWE has grown a lot, especially after introducing shows such as WWE LFG. He compared WWE’s growth to two bagels with cream cheese, with WWE as the cream cheese in the middle. When you press the bagels together, everything spreads out, but it all has a place to go.
According to RVD, WWE is handling this growth well, finding more ways to keep it growing. They’re staying ahead and creating new companies to keep the business, money, and interest growing. RVD is excited to be part of WWE again, instead of being away and working with other companies.
“Dude, they’re just growing so much, you know? It’s like, picture a bagel with cream cheese on it and another bagel with cream cheese, and WWE is the cream cheese in the middle. You put those two together, squeeze it, and watch it all ooze out, but it all has a place to go. They’re on top of it, it’s going to grow, grow, grow, and they’re going to keep making more room, just staying ahead of the water flow so it always has somewhere to go. They’re going to be opening up companies, finding ways to keep the momentum, the money, the business, and the interest all going.
That’s how I see the whole TKO-WWE thing, you know, because that’s what I know most about. They’re just going to keep growing, and they’ll keep finding new ways and places to put that growth, and it’s awesome. So for me, that’s why I’m stoked to be kind of back under their umbrella, as opposed to not being presently with them while I’m off doing other things with other companies.”
The WWE Hall of Famer then revealed he has an interest in potentially joining WWE LFG one day. He mentioned that he never thought he would consider it before, but after discussing it with his partner Katie, he realized that he could help out by offering advice and pointing out ways to improve.
RVD stated that he’s always willing to offer his insights, and the welcoming atmosphere in WWE makes him feel encouraged. RVD said that the idea of contributing in this way is something he could see himself doing.
“I have some interest, though, in helping out. You know, me and Katie were talking about that earlier. I never thought I would have before, but like I said, if someone’s not at zero and it’s just pointing out things that I see that can make them better, I do that all the time anyway. So, I could see doing that, especially with the big welcome vibe. You know, like, ‘You’re welcome here anytime.’ That really encourages me, and makes me feel like, ‘Oh, maybe I could see myself doing that, maybe even lending a hand in that way.'”
WWE LFG will air in early 2025 and will feature the likes of Steve Austin, Kevin Owens, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Booker T, Mickie James, and Bubba Ray Dudley as coaches. Therefore, we will have to wait and see when RVD will decide to join WWE LFG as his experience will certainly help shape the Superstars of tomorrow.
