Raja Jackson has managed to get a ton of hate after he almost ended Syko Stu’s life at KnokX Pro event, but RVD actually feels that Jackson was manipulated into doing what he did.
While speaking on his 1 of a Kind podcast, RVD talked about Raja Jackson’s brutal attack on Syko Stu. He said Raja doesn’t know much about wrestling and even admitted on a stream before the event that he was just going to support his friends. RVD mentioned that Raja also talked about having concussion symptoms, with his head bothering him and stomach issues.
RVD said many people dismiss this and make jokes about CTE, but he believes Raja really was dealing with those problems. He also said Raja didn’t seem very sharp, pointing to a video with Raja and his dad, though he added he likes Rampage and thinks their relationship looks like tough love.
“So, Raja doesn’t know s*** about wrestling. That’s what I understand. I heard it from him saying on the stream before he gets to the event. He says, ‘You know, my boys got this wrestling event. I’m going to go and support. I don’t know s*** about wrestling.’ And I believe him. He says he’s got concussion symptoms. His head is really f*cking with him a lot and he’s been having an upset stomach.
This is something that a lot of the haters want to blow off. They don’t believe concussion symptoms are real, but they want to say, ‘I got CTE and that’s why I put that post out.’ You know, I don’t know if they’re trying to be funny, but you can’t have it both ways. He’s concussed. I don’t know the guy. He doesn’t seem like he’s the sharpest tool in the shed. I watched another video of him and his dad, and I love Rampage. I’m definitely not burying him, but it looks like a hard-love kind of relationship.”
According to RVD, Raja Jackson only did what he said he would do and what others told him to do. He believes Raja was a tool that was used and manipulated. When Raja got angry, people calmed him down and told him he’d get his chance in the ring. RVD pointed out that AJ Mana, the one in the cowboy hat, told him to give Stu a “receipt” and promised to step in if anyone had an issue.
When Raja was in the ring, RVD said it looked like he lost control. Anyone who has been in a fight knows how easy it is to see red and throw punches without thinking. He explained that Raja probably didn’t realize how badly he was hurting Stu in the moment, he just kept hitting until people pulled him off.
“What I’m saying is that he said from the beginning what he was going to do. He’s doing what they told him to do and that’s it. Now, I think he’s a f******* tool and I think that they used him. He was manipulated. I think, you know, they can thing happened and then he was p*****. They said, ‘No, no, no, relax, relax.’ And they said, ‘Hey, you know, this is—we’re working. You’ll be able to get him back in the ring. Get him, you know, you get him back.’ And then his buddy, which you know, you didn’t show here, but I think everyone has seen the footage. His buddy AJ with the cowboy hat is telling him, you know, you remember what his receipt is, right? You know, you get him a receipt. Make sure you tag them out there. If anyone’s upset, I’ll come out there.
And so when he’s out there, I know everybody in the IWC knows what it’s like to be on somebody and be punching, especially if you’re in a rage and seeing red, which if that’s what the deal is, then he went psycho and you know, and I’m not defending that. But what I am saying is that who knows even what he’s able to tell at that point when he’s on top of him—boom, boom, boom, boom, boom—and they’re trying to pull him off. When I’m going to try and get in as many as I can. Like I said, f*ck this guy. Like he might not be like, ‘Oh, this guy’s unconscious and if I wasn’t moving his head, he’d be holding still.’ He might not know that. And he lost it. It looks like he lost it.”
RVD admitted that Raja went too far and has anger issues, but he also thinks the situation was the result of miscommunication. Everyone had agreed to what Raja was going to do, but it still got out of hand. RVD said people might see it differently but he at least wanted to show how things escalated.
In the end, RVD called Raja the weakest link, saying he wasn’t able to think for himself and just went along with what others in the group wanted. To RVD, the whole situation showed how that kind of environment can lead to bad outcomes.
“Thing I agree on—it was miscommunication. Yeah, absolutely. That I think that Raja knew the whole time he was going to go in there and beat dude’s ass. He told them that’s what he was gonna do. They told him to do that. They all agreed upon it and then he went and did it, right? Did he take it too far? Yeah, he took it too far. You know, he’s definitely got anger issues, but I see the pathway of how we got there. And for people to not see that, you know, I don’t know—just hopefully maybe we told them a couple things that they didn’t know. Or if not, then, you know, it’s okay to have a different opinion.
They all agreed to it. And it seems like Raja was the weakest link, you know, as far as not being able to think differently for himself, ’cause he’s part of this community. Y’all got to think alike and have the same opinion. All right. Happens. See what you’re breeding. You don’t even know.”
This comes after WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry actually blamed Syko Stu for the entire incident, saying that he shouldn’t have hit Raja Jackson with the beer can in the first place. Regardless, many fans have even started an online petition, demanding that the LAPD arrest Raja Jackson for his heinous attack and so we’ll have to see whether Jackson will end up in jail eventually.
