Vince McMahon recently celebrated his 80th birthday with a massive party, but there were rumors that his health was declining. While speculation persisted, it seems those rumors have now been laid to rest.
While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestlebinge, Teddy Long was asked about Vince McMahon’s health after attending his birthday party. He explained that Vince didn’t look bad to him at all, which is why he doesn’t understand the talk about Vince looking unwell.
Long noted that Vince’s face may have looked a little swollen, but overall he thought Vince looked good, wearing a nice suit on both nights. He added that Vince McMahon was moving around well and, in his view, looked great.
“I mean—he didn’t look bad to me, you know what I mean? That’s why I don’t understand what people are talking about. His face looked like it might have been a little swollen or something like that—but he looked nice to me. Had on a nice suit both nights, man—he was getting around, moving around. God, he looked great to me.”
This comes after reports that many people at the party were seeing Vince McMahon for the first time in years. One attendee described him, saying he looked 80, seemed frail, moved more slowly and showed his age in a way he hadn’t in a long time.
“McMahon looked 80… more frail, walked slower, and looked his age in a manner that he hadn’t in decades.”
McMahon’s health and public appearances are likely to keep drawing attention no matter what, but at least Teddy Long has made it clear that the former WWE Chairman looked pretty healthy to him.
