A new leak may have revealed when WWE 2K26 is hitting shelves.

According to gaming insider Billbil-kun via Dealabs Magazine, WWE 2K26 is currently rumored for release on Friday, March 13, 2026. While not officially confirmed by 2K or WWE, the date would keep with the franchise’s usual strategy of launching during WrestleMania season.

The same report claims the game is expected to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. There’s no confirmation yet on whether it’ll also hit older-gen consoles like PS4 or Xbox One.

Fans won’t have to wait long to find out. An official announcement is reportedly set for Friday, January 30, along with pre-orders going live that same day. As for what’s inside the game? Three special editions have already been confirmed:

  • Attitude Era Edition
  • Monday Night War Edition
  • King of Kings Edition (featuring Triple H)

The cover star for the Standard Edition is still under wraps, but one major name is being linked to the game’s Showcase Mode — CM Punk.

According to the report, Punk is “reportedly set to be the centerpiece of this year’s Showcase Mode,” a feature that lets players relive a superstar’s career through playable matches and story-driven gameplay.

The Attitude Era Edition is packed with legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Kane, Kurt Angle, Chyna, Trish Stratus, Lita, Stephanie McMahon, and The Dudley Boyz.

The Monday Night War Edition adds Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Booker T, and Eric Bischoff alongside several of the same top names.

Until WWE and 2K make things official, all of this remains speculation — but the pieces are lining up for a March launch. Whether CM Punk leads the Showcase Mode or not, a reveal is coming fast.

Would you buy WWE 2K26 if CM Punk is the Showcase star, or are you hoping someone else headlines this year’s game?
