WWE might’ve teased it, but that doesn’t mean it’s locked in. Despite their massive face-off during the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble, Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar is not guaranteed for WrestleMania 42.
Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the singles match is far from official. WWE hasn’t pulled the trigger yet, and nothing’s set in stone behind the scenes.
“That’s not 100 percent by the way… it could happen. I’m not saying it’s not happening. I’m just saying that I was told this one’s not 100 percent, and that was the Lesnar and Oba Femi match,” Meltzer stated.
The Royal Rumble encounter added fuel to the speculation. Femi, entering at #1, lasted an impressive 39 minutes before Lesnar dropped him with a German suplex and eliminated him. Lesnar didn’t last long either—he got dumped by Cody Rhodes and LA Knight shortly after.
WrestleMania 42 will take over Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19. Roman Reigns has already picked CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Title match. Lesnar’s status? Still undecided.
