NXT Heatwave delivered a second night of action for WWE fans, building on the momentum from Money in the Bank. The Toronto crowd was fully engaged, especially during the NXT Women’s Title match.

Roxanne Perez faced Lola Vice in a singles match for the NXT Women’s Championship. This match posed a significant challenge for Roxanne Perez.

The NXT Women’s Champion was coming off a major victory over Jordynne Grace at Battleground, showcasing her ability to compete against top talent outside WWE. Now, she faced Lola Vice, who had a fierce encounter with Shayna Baszler in an NXT Underground match during the same event.

Both competitors had something to prove, and the match was evenly contested early on. However, when Lola Vice took a hard bump into the ring post, injuring her arm, Perez seized the opportunity to gain the upper hand. Booker T appreciated seeing this aggressive side of Roxanne.

Vice managed to kick out of a Pop Rocks, which frustrated Roxanne. The battle continued outside the ring, where Perez dismantled the announce table to set up a high-risk move. She delivered another Pop Rocks on the table, but it didn’t break. They returned to the ring, and Perez scored another two count.

Ultimately, Roxanne Perez hit three consecutive Pop Rocks, securing the victory. This hard-fought title defense allowed Perez to retain her championship.
