Roxanne Perez is earning serious respect backstage—and it’s not just for her performances in the ring.

According to a report from PWInsider on January 20, 2026, Perez has received internal praise from WWE officials for gutting through recent matches while banged up. Despite dealing with undisclosed physical issues, she continued to compete as scheduled during WWE’s Road to Royal Rumble European tour earlier this month.

Perez’s tour schedule was no light workload. Over just six days, she wrestled in multiple tag and singles matches across England, Germany, and Poland—taking on opponents like Lyra Valkyria, Maxxine Dupri, and Bayley. On January 12, she and Liv Morgan won a triple threat match on Monday Night Raw in Düsseldorf to become #1 contenders for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Despite not being at 100%, Perez has competed at a high level, which reportedly impressed both the Raw creative team and company management. The timing couldn’t be better either—Perez is also set to compete in the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia later this month.

With mounting internal support and a reputation for pushing through adversity, Roxanne Perez could be on the verge of a major breakout in WWE.
