Roxanne Perez Pleads with AJ Lee to Return for Retirement Match

AJ Lee hasn’t competed inside the squared circle since 2015 and for the last decade, fans have been hoping for her return for a long time. In fact, even Roxanne Perez has now admitted AJ Lee could be her retirement match and pleaded with her to come back.

While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Roxanne Perez was asked if a match against AJ Lee would be a dream match, whether one-on-one or possibly as part of a tag team match.

Roxanne Perez stated that it absolutely would be a dream match and could even be her retirement match. She really hoped that AJ Lee would come back, as she feels that match could still happen and pleaded Lee to come back.

“Absolutely. Absolutely. AJ Lee is my—that could be my retirement match to be honest. Um yeah, she is definitely my dream match and I have a feeling that that could happen if she comes back. Please come back.”

This comes after WrestleVotes previously reported that WWE fully supports the idea of AJ Lee returning to the company. He mentioned that if she reaches out and says, “I’m in,” WWE would immediately agree without hesitation.

“It is a question I get quite a bit. As far as I know, WWE is totally on board for it. They would welcome it. She picks up the phone and she says, ‘I’m in.’ They’re going to say, ‘Yes. What took so long?’ I would say the only two people that probably know that answer are AJ Lee and CM Punk and whatever that answer may be is up to them. So we’ll see.”

We will have to wait and see whether AJ Lee will ever return to WWE television again and compete against Roxanne Perez, as Perez as made it clear that’s the one match she really wants.
